Several weather warnings have been issued across the UK as fresh ice and 75mph winds are set to hit the country. The Met Office has put in place two yellow weather alerts over the next three days, warning of travel chaos, an increased chance of accidents and power cuts.

It comes as around 70 flood alerts and almost 40 flood warnings remain in force across the UK, affecting areas including Berkshire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Cambridgeshire

The Met Office has issued several yellow weather warnings as temperatures are expected to drop. Warning of potential disruption and risk of crashes, the national weather service has issued a yellow alert for ice from 9pm tonight to 10am tomorrow for Scotland.

More snow is expected to hit parts of the UK at the weekend, according to the Met Office weather forecast. This forecast comes after the UK has experienced a mild weekend, with temperatures getting a bit colder at the start of this week.
