Former LSU star Jayden Daniels' magical rookie campaign continued on Saturday night after leading the Washington Commanders to a 45-31 victory over the Detroit

Jayden Daniels, meet Slinging Sammy Baugh. The Commanders' dynamic rookie quarterback accomplished a feat in his playoff debut that no quarterback in the NFL had done since Baugh during the franchise's first season in Washington back in 1937.

Daniels, the dual-threat dynamo behind the Washington Commanders ’ rapid turnaround, and Nix, whose steady playmaking turned the Denver Broncos into one of the league’s biggest surprises, are only the fourth pair of rookie quarterbacks to make the playoffs in the same season after serving as full-time starters.

Every Steelers season since 2018 has followed what’s becoming an all-too-familiar refrain. Pittsburgh has won the AFC North just once in this span and has hovered somewhere between eight to 10 wins in every other year — sufficient to cling to the “no losing seasons” line but not nearly good enough to ever be a needle-mover in the conference.
