AKRON, Ohio — The cities of Akron, Canton and Cleveland are making arrangements for those in need as temperatures are expected to plummet into the single digits next week. The City of Akron has announced extended hours for the Summit Lake Community Center to serve as a warming center next week.

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - The woman accused of fatally shooting another woman in 2022 at an Akron bar was found guilty Tuesday. The Summit County Prosecutor’s Office said Gladys Sashay Ingersoll, 24, will be sentenced on Jan. 23. Akron police said Ingersoll shot and killed Chyna Shepard, 21, on July 29, 2022.
