HBO announces the return of the series "The Last of Us." Millions of viewers are eagerly awaiting the second season featuring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. We've finally learned when the first episodes will appear.

In a new teaser dropped Tuesday (January 7), the streamer announced that its popular adaptation of the post-apocalyptic PlayStation video game would be premiering this April. The trailer gives a first look at Abby, a pivotal character and the main antagonist from the video game sequel The Last of Us: Part II, on which season two is based.

At the November 2023 press event, it was also confirmed that the series will be returning in 2025, although, an official release date wasn't revealed. This was re-confirmed in a special sneak peek that Max revealed on August 5, 2024 that features some new glimpses at the series including some brand new characters.
