Kansas men’s basketball suffered a sharp decline in the latest AP Poll, falling from the No. 1 spot to No. 10 after a challenging week marked by consecutive losses to Creighton and Missouri. The Jayhawks now hold a 7-2 record, with their early-season dominance now in question.

Suddenly, though, Kansas has slipped completely out of the top 10 after dropping two straight games to unranked teams. The Jayhawks came in at No. 10 in this week's poll, which paved the way for Tennessee to take their spot at No. 1.

Stat to know: UConn bounced back from a disastrous week with a victory at home against Baylor and on the road against Texas. The win over the Bulldogs was the Huskies'seventh straight win vs an AP-ranked opponent, their longest streak since 2011.

After losing back-to-back games last week, Kansas plummeted from No. 1 to No. 10 in the AP men’s basketball Top 25 on Monday, making way for Tennessee to take the top spot for the first time since the 2018-19 season.

In this week’s AP Poll, Purdue men’s basketball took a slight tumble, down 3 spots to 11th in the nation. This follows a 1-1 week in which Purdue lost at Penn State before taking down Maryland at home.

The Ole Miss Rebels went undefeated last week on the hardwood, and they received some love in the AP Poll as a result.
