Two police cameras in a Chicago suburb caught a blast following a garbage truck fire. The cause is under investigation while two police officers are still recovering.

Arlington Heights police body cam video shows white smoke coming from the garbage truck as a firefighter attaches a hose to a fire hydrant several feet away. Suddenly, the garbage truck detonates like a bomb. The explosion sent a fireball and a plume of thick gray smoke into the air.

Bodycam and dashcam footage released on December 9 shows the sudden explosion of a burning garbage truck in Arlington Heights, Illinois on December 6. Two police officers and one firefighter were injured but have since recovered.
