Enzo Maresca has reacted to Noni Madueke ’s move to Arsenal, saying Chelsea were powerless because “Noni decided to leave”. On Friday, Madueke was granted permission to leave Chelsea’s Club World Cup camp in the United States and return to the UK to undergo a medical ahead of his £52million move to London rivals Arsenal.

Enzo Maresca has insisted Noni Madueke was not forced out of the club with the Chelsea boss expecting the winger to join Arsenal ‘in the next hours’. Arsenal and Chelsea agreed a fee of £52million on Thursday night with Madueke now set to sign a five-year contract with the Gunners.
